There is still one more chance to sign up for a food box! Please come to Salvation Army located at 893 Lander Ave Turlock Ca on Wednesday December 21st, between 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. We will sign you up and then send you over to Turlock Fruit Company to pick up your box.

Country Folk Art Craft Show-This Weekend!

Please join us this weekend, November 12-13th at the Turlock Stanislaus County Fairgrounds for the annual Country Folk Art Craft Show.

Hours:
Saturday 10am-5pm
Sunday 10am-4pm
Admission: $5.00

Support Turlock Together and also get $1.00 off of admission when you bring a can of food!

Volunteers Needed for Distribution!

The dates for 2011 Distribution will be December 20th and December 21 from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Sign ups will be in two shifts, from 8:00 AM to Noon and Noon to 4:30 PM. Of course you can come and volunteer for 1 or 2 hours as we will appreciate any time you can give.

Requirements- able to stand, able to work outdoors, able to sit for a period of time, and able to lift.

Duties Available:
Runners- Taking slip from registration to toy room
Shopping Cart Hostess- Able to host a family and assist them to get their food and toys, take food and toys to their vehicle, and must be able to lift food and toys from shopping care to inside of vehicle or trunk.
Toy Room Helpers- Able to pack toys by age in a bag or a box, being able to stock toys when toys are running low, organize toy room.
Warehouse Worker- able to assist line workers, make food boxes, sorting food etc.

All duties are outdoors, so please dress appropriately.

Volunteers for Warehouse Will Be Needed!

We will be needing help at the warehouse from December 1, 2011 through December 21, 2011, Mondays to Thursdays. The hours of operation will be Monday to Thursday beginning at 2:30 PM and on Fridays only 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. These hours are subject to change.
For Groups of 10 or More- please call Bob at (209)678-5333 or Lissette at (209)669-5366 ext 101 to schedule a day and time.
Requirements- Able to lift, able to stand, able to work outdoors. Dress appropriately according to the weather. Wear tennis shoes or steel toe boots.
You could be sorting, counting cans, packing, assembling boxes, line working, clean up duties and all other duties as required.

Registration for 2011 Holiday Season is fast approaching!

The 2011 Holiday season is just around the corner, and it’s time for us to begin coordinating our volunteer opportunities. Registration will begin on November 28 and will go through December 9, 2011. We will need volunteers during this time for both Registration and Data Entry. Our hours for Registration will be 9 AM to 7 PM Monday through Friday, and 9 AM to 8 PM Monday through Friday for Data Entry. There will be sign ups for 2 shifts, but we will be happy for any time you can give. Although you do need to know how to type for the Data Entry portion, light typing is O.K. too. You need to be able to sit for a period of time but of course you can stand up and stretch at anytime. Those who can speak another language are encouraged to volunteer as well.
